While health-care is intended to be affordable for all, it should not be at the expense of how effective the existing system is in delivering health-care services. It is inevitable that the change will introduce the need for more professionals in assuring quality, in medical, clinical and nursing care. By the end of 2019 they expect the costs for implementation and affordability to level off. Healthcare professionals will then be tasked with ensuring that the population receives the best possible care for current and future health risks. Both affording and averting anticipated risks in the population health, for the individual and for the population, has huge implications in the health-care and clinical industries as public health systems are optimized to realize the change. The act intends to invest more than $15 billion in preventative health-care according to the US Library of Medicine.
Community Health
To reach marginalized and ‘medically underserved’ segments of the population, the act addresses accessibility by providing community health centers which are expected to double in capacity. The demand for qualified nurses in multiple health care settings will create continuing demand for medical personnel with the correct skills.
Summary
The act is a highly technical and structured implementation of law that is going to take a number of years, the following are the changes expected over the years:

Great explanation. With the Affordable Care Act rolling into place NP’s are looked at as medical professionals who can perform quality care and get the job done. I hope to see more autonomy granted to these nurses.
